Executive business coach and facilitator, Meredith Eicher, and leadership coach and certified Dare to Lead facilitator, Lacy Dicharry, hosted a Dare to Lead event on January 15 and 16 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge, LA. The program was based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown and her book, Dare to Lead, which she describes as a tool toward developing brave leaders and courageous cultures. During the two-day workshop, Meredith and Lacy guided more than 20 business professionals toward achieving a common goal: to become a better leader.
“Our participants were highly engaged and embraced the real-world application of this impactful work,” said Eicher. “Watching the transformation and impact on each individual was incredibly rewarding.”
The agenda included interactive and experiential implementation where individuals collaborated to gain a new perspective through one another. The program encouraged these individuals to dig deep and to step out of their comfort zones to have those difficult conversations that inspire change. The ability to have these conversations while building trust is at the heart of improving our cultures, increasing creativity and innovation.
“It was as difficult and transformative as I anticipated it would be,” said Beverly Brooks Thompson, Managing Director of Carter Global. “Actually digging deep into the work of vulnerability, building trust, having radical candor and hard conversations.”
Meredith and Lacy will be facilitating another Dare to Lead event on Thursday, June 3, and Friday, June 4. Be sure to sign up early as spots are limited. Click the link below to register.
